Harvard Law grad lawyer-turned-designer Amber Hagen, known for stylish children’s knits with iconic images, beautiful colors (and a loyal celebrity following) this year launches a new collection of women’s luxury cashmere contemporary knitwear.

After 5 grueling years as a corporate lawyer, with many days spent secretly knitting under her desk, Amber launched the high end children's cashmere line in 2004. The line was immediately picked up and carried year after year by Barneys, Fred Segal, Pumpkinheads and Kitson, as well as many stores nationwide from the hippest little boutiques to largest national retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and Saks. Loyal celebrity clients include Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, Nicole Richie, Melania Trump (and many more!) and Amber’s collections have been featured endlessly in InStyle, Elle, People, Us, Daily Candy, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, etc., etc.

But the one question people continually asked was “where is the women’s line - can you please make these in my size???” After many years, and three kids later, the first women’s collection has arrived.

The women's fall 2014 cotton/cashmere line is rendered in rich, french inspired colors (camels, creams, navy), and features bold iconic intarsia images - hearts, arrows, daisies, cameos, etc. - mixed with a balance of modern solids, stripes and color blocks. Pieces include sweater knit mini tank dresses, skinny wrap cardigans, long and lean pullovers, and must-have solid rib trim coat-cardigans. In super-soft 90/10 cotton/cashmere, the clothes feel like pajamas but are equally at home for lunch with friends or a night out on the town. The skinny wrap cardigans double as wardrobe staples that can be paired with anything - jeans, etc., but also come with belts and quickly transform into perfect little a-line wrap dresses. The concept here is that basics don’t have to be boring, and with the right amount of style, these "basics" can make a statement throughout the day - and well into the night, regardless of whether that night is spent out on the town, or at your desk pouring over merger agreements.
